Has anyone tested pregnancy status in any wild pinnipeds (seals) using faeces? Or anything else?
If not. What do you test in other animals faeces to confirm pregnancy? Progesterone? If so, are you doing a quantitative check or snap test (positive vs negative).

Normally faecal progesterone levels are tested by radioimmunoassay.
