Would 1.5mg medetomidine and 3mg butorphanol calm an alpaca so that we can shave it.....or what would you suggest?

Thanks Shaun. 1,75 mg medetomidine and 6 mg butorphanol worked like a dream. They stood and were able to be shaved. 50 mg ketamine IM administered dropped them into a recumbent position where their nails could be trimmed.
