Meerkat pups start with tail tip necrosis. Could this be due to mother biting tails or bacterial/fungal infections? Client starts to see this from about 5 weeks of age

In piglets, it is often others suckling on tails as there is not enough feeder access. Number of teats fewer than babies maybe? Will a supplement be of value?
